Social Outings

St George Community provides an exciting and varied social outings program 5 days per week with the occasional weekend or evening event. Enjoy a day at the theatre, a visit to the zoo, a historical drive, a wander around an art gallery or museum or morning tea in a beautiful botanical garden. Our social outings program can help you stay socially active and meet new people. Our outings have something for every interest, and they will extend your social connections, keep you more active and add to the enjoyment of your life. Our monthly newsletter includes all the social outings for the month and is available in our vehicles, or you can receive an electronic copy by email. Alternatively, you can subscribe to receive the newsletter by post for a small fee.

Sunshine Group.

Our Sunshine Group is a disability group who enjoy social outings to places of interest, beautiful locations and fantastic venues. You will enjoy a day of fun, laughs and new experiences.  This group is well supported by highly qualified, experienced staff. Our vehicles are well maintained and are equipped with a wheelchair hoist. Please see our monthly newsletter for details of the Sunshine Group’s outings.

BActive.

Our BActive program will link you to activities in the St George area that will help to keep you physically and/or mentally well. Let us take you to an aqua aerobics class, chair yoga, or IPAD classes. You will find the activities in the monthly newsletter.

Overnight trips

Our overnight trips are an extension of our social outing program. Our clients were wanting to travel further afield and discover NSW. For many of our older client an overnight trip on their own was out of the question but with the support of our qualified team members, we have developed a suite of overnight trips to suit all budgets and tastes.

During the year we are offering three-day trips to Mudgee, Floriade, the South Coast or the Hunter Valley and two day trips to the City, Manly, the Blue Mountains or the Southern Highlands.
